How to Build Your Child's Confidence

Hi, I’m Maryam Roda, PYP Teacher. Welcome to our Reggio-inspired, PYP classroom! Today, I want to share a few simple ways to help build your child’s confidence. 

 
Give them choices. Even small decisions, like picking their own outfit or choosing a book to read, this will help them feel capable and in control. 
 
Focus on their progress, not just the outcome. Instead of saying ‘Good job,’ try ‘I love how you kept trying!’ This helps children value their own effort and develop a growth mindset. 
 
Trust them in our classroom. Children explore, create, and take the lead in their learning. When they see we believe in them, they start believing in themselves. 
 
Confidence starts with trust let’s nurture it together!
