On Tuesday, 3 December, ISL Qatar, led by the Head of School, Mr. David Monk, held a New Parent Feedback Session with the aim to receive input from them to help improve the experience and transition process that the students receive.

A small group of committed parents attended, each having experienced either a transition to Qatar, or to the school having transferred from another school in Doha. The clear message that was conveyed was that the welcoming nature of the ISL Qatar Community eased and hasten the process of their child's integration into the school. They all stated that they really enjoyed the diversity that this community brings to their experiences as a family and that their children found learning at ISL to be ‘fun’.

There were also important messages that the committee took note off including that of the difficulties facing when adapting to new programmes, and the importance of clear communication channels. A request to have some Grade Level parent coffee mornings to allow social opportunities and connections for new families to meet current members of the community was also vocalised.

The school is hoping that through listening to the feedback from new parents, they will be able to continue to develop and strengthen the way that they welcome new families to the community in the future.
