ISL Qatar U16 Quess League Champions

On Tuesday the 3rd of December the U16 Boys Football team were crowned Champions of the U16 QUESS League. The boys put together an impressive season scoring a remarkable 28 goals, conceding only 7 and were the only team in the division to go unbeaten.

ISL started the game well and were on top in the early exchanges, ISL should have opened the scoring on 15 mins but the Sherborne keeper saved well to keep the sides all square. 5 minutes later ISL were awarded a penalty, Zach Lusardi took on the responsibility and expertly dispatched the penalty low and hard into the bottom corner of the net to give ISL a deserved lead.

Sherborne were causing some problems and were level 10 minutes later, an excellent strike finding its way past Santiago in the ISL goal. The first half action wasn’t finished yet, ISL found the back of the net from a well delivered corner kick. The boys went it at the interval 2-1 up.

ISL upped it another level in the 2nd half and on 40 minutes Daniel AbiDoud sent the home side 3-1 up when he found the back of the net with a stunning strike from 25 yards. 10 minutes later ISL were 4-1 up, a brilliant passing move cutting the Sherborne defense apart,  Laith El-Taweel getting the final touch and his first of the game.

The game ended with a final score line 4-2, another excellent team performance from the boys, ISL deservedly crowned League Champions!!
