From the 26 to 30 January, students from Grade 5 to 11 were involved in the ISL Qatar ‘Week Without Walls’ Programme. 208 students and 24 staff members traveled to eight different countries ranging from Borneo to Kenya and Liverpool to Colombo, those staying in Qatar engaged in a week full of team building, challenge, and fun.

The chilly weather meant that overnight camps in the desert took on an additional element of hardship. Those students on ISL Qatar's first-ever International Award adventurous journey would have no doubt welcomed a warm soft bed after their 24 km hike!

Many of our students also partook in Doha-based activities that involved riding a horse, swinging a golf club or painting a mural. Of the dozen or so activities on offer each day, the most popular was table tennis. During break times the senior students and staff would suddenly appear for a quick set whereas after-school one parent, in particular, could not resist the temptation to show off his forehand drive, hammering one of the teachers in the process.

All-in-all it was an exhausting but highly valuable week.
