The Parent School Association (PSA) is a formal organization composed of parents and schools officials with the aim of enhancing the educational experience of every child in school. The PSA makes an outstanding contribution to the development of the school. It supports the school, raises funds and enriches school life with its social events. All school events are scheduled to foster a sense of community among parents, teachers, students, and administrators.

Mission

To build a strong parent community through effective communication, service and cooperation.

Vision

To foster a friendly and open environment for parents to work together with the school to enhance the learning opportunities for our children.

The ISL Parent School Association (PSA) provides a vital and friendly link between parents and the school. As well as creating an important sense of community, the PSA provides much-needed practical and moral support for new and existing parents.

Our council members together with parent volunteers support and/or organise various community events including:

Winter Carnival
School Musicals and Plays
Open Mornings
International Family Fair
Zumba Sessions
Orientation Day
Movie Nights

All parents of children currently attending the school are automatically members of the PSA, as are all the school staff. The group meets once a month and provides a place to discuss ideas and concerns, including a positive line of communication with the school leadership team.

PSA Council 2019-2020

"I decided to be part of the PSA Council when a few co-parents encouraged and elected me to be the President. Also, I always had the heart to help the community and to be part of the growth and development of the school. Lastly, I want to be an example for my kids to be active and be part of the school projects, and school events. At the same time, I have a better understanding with the curriculum, and the system of the school. So far, I am very thankful for the support of my family, co-parents, and the PSA Team with the guidance of the Whole School Leadership Team."

Rosemie Schaab, President

"This school year, I decided to join the PSA because I wanted to help and support the school to create a stronger sense of community between the students and parents. We, as parents, play a key role in the development of our children emotionally and socially. For this reason, I think that the PSA can help and reinforce our children's development organizing events involving the school community."

Ghada Salha, Vice President
