Sustainability at ISL Qatar

Sustainability is an important part of life at the International School of London Qatar. Through learning, student initiatives, and community projects, sustainability is part of how our students understand the world and their role in it. We are proud that our Green Flag status has been renewed, recognising the ongoing commitment of our school community to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Our students engage in meaningful actions, from biodiversity studies in Qatar’s mangrove ecosystems to energy audits, waste reduction campaigns, edible garden initiatives, and whole-school recycling drives. We are proud to collaborate with local partners such as Earthna and Hadiqaa, whose work in conservation, environmental education, and community engagement provides powerful real-world learning opportunities. As a recognised Eco-Schools school and recipient of the Green Flag Award, ISL Qatar demonstrates a whole-school commitment to measurable impact and continuous improvement.

At ISL Qatar, sustainability extends beyond environmental stewardship, it is about developing systems thinkers, ethical leaders, and changemakers who are equipped to design innovative solutions for a more sustainable future in Qatar and beyond.
